چکیده

This paper presents a new algorithm for computing the minimum distance between convex poly-hedras. The algorithm of Gilbert-Johnson-Keerthi (GJK) and the algorithm of Lin-Canny (LC) are well-known fast solutions to the problem. We show how a mix between LC's idea and the GJK's algorithm can be used to solve the problem. In our algorithm, we use local methods to calculate the distance between features and new 'updating' conditions to add stability. These new conditions enable us to ensure more stability when compared to GJK. We also modify our terminating conditions to add robustness to our approach. Our experiments also show that the expected running time of our approach is constant, independent of the complexity of the polyhedra. We present some comparisons of our method with GJK. New Algorithm For Computing Secondary Invariants of Invariant Rings of Monomial Groups

In this paper, a new  algorithm for computing secondary invariants of  invariant rings of monomial groups is presented. The main idea is to compute simultaneously a truncated SAGBI-G basis and the standard invariants of the ideal generated by the set of primary invariants.  The advantage of the presented algorithm lies in the fact that it is well-suited to complexity analysis and very easy to i...

A new algorithm for computing SAGBI bases up to an arbitrary degree

We present a new algorithm for computing a SAGBI basis up to an arbitrary degree for a subalgebra generated by a set of homogeneous polynomials. Our idea is based on linear algebra methods which cause a low level of complexity and computational cost. We then use it to solve the membership problem in subalgebras.

Asymptotic algorithm for computing the sample variance of interval data

The problem of the sample variance computation for epistemic inter-val-valued data is, in general, NP-hard. Therefore, known efficient algorithms for computing variance require strong restrictions on admissible intervals like the no-subset property or heavy limitations on the number of possible intersections between intervals. A new asymptotic algorithm for computing the upper bound of the samp...

Integrated modeling and solving the resource allocation problem and task scheduling in the cloud computing environment

Cloud computing is considered to be a new service provider technology for users and businesses. However, the cloud environment is facing a number of challenges. Resource allocation in a way that is optimum for users and cloud providers is difficult because of lack of data sharing between them. On the other hand, job scheduling is a basic issue and at the same time a big challenge in reaching hi...
